Maxine's Story
I have read some of the backgrounds of the men here and from their stories they have been successful in their careers and are now enjoying life. My career turned out to be a single mother after 9 years of marriage. I think that sometimes people don't come on here because to tell about their backgrounds is difficult especially when the success ratio seems to be marred by life's unexpected hardships and/or bad choices. Family has been my life's focus and still is. My journals tell of nothing but family times. I worked in Los Angeles in my 20's; moved to Northern Calif as I entred my 30's, after my first marriage and entered into a second relationship that ended in the passing of my partner who was sick for 9 years. from one end of California to the other (San Diego) working for many companies along the way. My last position I worked for a law firm for 15 years; downsized last year March 09; watching and waiting this recession out; did some traveling; last relationship was 9 years; God has seen me through it all. Otherwise my crazy side wouldn't have me laughing. And I hope in my very small way the people I met with know I appreciated them and ask God to bless all those who have been kind to me and my family. I am not sure if anyone remembers me as I remember only a few here, have written to a few and received no response, maybe because they do not remember me. I mean, there has been a lot of years since we were in high school, right?
